The melodic freshness and poetry of the beautifully crafted Songs without Words make them today perhaps the best-known and loved of Mendelssohn's entire output. Ten of the Songs are here expertly arranged for clarinet and piano by top clarinettists Thea King and Alan Frank, building on the song-like qualities of the original piano pieces.
